Quick Rules & Options
Offers: choose 5, 15, 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Colours are automatic and alternate from your previous game when possible.
Direct challenge: press Play beside any available online player. A targeted offer appears only to you and that player.
Continue tomorrow: during a game one player offers Save & Continue Later. When the other accepts, the exact board, clocks and notation are saved. Both must agree to resume.
Set position: create a Set Position game. After the opponent accepts, both players may arrange pieces. Any change cancels prior agreement; play starts only after both agree.
Watching: live games are visible to all logged-in players. Spectators can replay from move 1 and return to Live.
After game: result speech, PGN download, replay and move-by-move analysis are available.
Challenge
Colour is assigned automatically. ChessPicker tries to give you the opposite colour from your most recent game. If you arrived from an Academy or Popular Opening position, this challenge will start from that exact position.
