Lichess chess-openings dataset (World ECO A00–E99)

The optional World ECO reference library loads ECO codes, opening names and representative PGN move sequences from lichess-org/chess-openings. The upstream project states that this factual dataset is released under the CC0 Public Domain Dedication.

ChessPicker does not claim ownership of the upstream ECO codes, opening names or factual representative move sequences. ChessPicker Teacher Briefing, training guidance, interface and lesson presentation are separate ChessPicker material.

Chess rules / computer-play code

This build uses ChessPicker's local JavaScript chess-rules implementation and Stockfish.js 19 Lite for computer play in the academy and practice pages. For complete Famous Game PGN reconstruction it also loads chess.js 0.10.3 from cdnjs.

Stockfish.js 19 Lite — computer opponent

Stockfish.js 19, npm version 19.0.1, is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3. The lightweight single-threaded JavaScript/WebAssembly engine files are included unmodified. Copyright Chess.com, LLC and Stockfish contributors. See engine headers for credits.
